Establishing a regular grooming schedule every 4 to 6 weeks offers numerous benefits, including promoting a healthy coat and skin, as well as enhancing their overall appearance and fragrance.

Ensuring your dog’s comfort and safety throughout the grooming process is our top priority. For new clients, we take the time to discuss any existing health conditions your dog may have, as well as your desired grooming outcomes. This includes a thorough examination for any skin issues, such as warts or lumps, and a conversation about specific needs, such as skin sensitivity. While we primarily use high-quality, soap-free shampoos, we can accommodate requests for sensitive skin shampoos and conditioners as needed.

Bath & Tidy

This service encompasses a warm bath, shampoo, and a gentle massage, followed by a blow-dry, brushing, and nail trimming.

Please note that an additional surcharge will apply for clipping around the sanitary area and for the removal of any matting.

Deshed Package

This is our most popular service, specifically designed to help remove excess undercoat. This package promotes your dog's comfort while maintaining the health of their coat and skin. The service includes a warm bath, shampoo (deshedding process), and a gentle massage, followed by a blow-dry, brushing, trimming of paw pads, nail clipping, and tidying of the sanitary area and face.

Full Groom

If you own a breed that requires routine trimming, establishing a regular grooming schedule is essential for maintaining healthy skin and coat. This service includes a warm bath, shampoo, and a gentle massage, followed by a blow-dry, brushing, full body clipping or scissoring, trimming of paw pads, nail clipping, and tidying of the sanitary area and face.

As groomers, it is distressing for us to resort to shaving a Pet entirely when the coat has become matted. Not only does this cause discomfort for your Pet due to the pulling and tangling of mats, but it can also lead to skin conditions and sores from bacteria that develop underneath. Additionally, clipping matted hair poses risks for both the dog and the groomer, as it can pull on the skin, making the process uncomfortable. This issue often intensifies during the cooler winter months, exacerbating your pet's discomfort if they are left without an appropriate coat.

At Groomer 2 You, we collaborate with our clients to establish regular grooming schedules that take into account your dog's living environment, the prevailing weather conditions, and the rate at which their coat replenishes.

Nail trimming

Keeping your dog's nails trimmed is as important for their well-being as it is for yours. We all understand how uncomfortable it can be to be scratched by long nails, but the risks associated with untrimmed nails—such as getting caught on furniture or growing into the dog's pads—are far more serious.

At Groomer 2 You, we prioritize the health of your pet’s nails. Nail trimming is included as part of our regular grooming services when it is both necessary and safe for the dog and the groomer. It is important to note that not all dogs are suitable for nail trimming; suitability depends on the length of the nails and the condition of the quick (the vein within the nail).

Grooming Schedules that work for you

  • 75% of clients have their dogs washed monthly, this includes hygiene clips or deshedding to keep your dog neat and tidy.

  • If your breed requires regular clipping, we generally recommend a schedule between 4- 6 weeks. This can be done in conjunction with a monthly grooming schedule.

  • Winter grooming is just as important as summer, we will adjust the length we clip to ensuring year round comfort.

  • Ad Hoc grooming offered subject to availability.
